Yes!
No!
Shazam is fine.
Captain _________ would be better.
For marketing purposes I prefer Shazam, because it's basically what the general public who doesn't collect comics recognizes him as.
Captain Marvel becomes a bit confusing because there is a Captain Marvel over at Marvel Comics.
(In fact when I google Captain Marvel, all I get is pictures & wikepedia headlines about Carol Danvers)
So I know Captain Marvel purists will be incensed by this idea.....but I do think Shazam is best.
This is what Teen Titans Academy seems to have gone with. Donna called him "Captain freaking Shazam" at one point.
Billy needs a unique name to disambiguate him from his siblings. At the moment, they all just Shazam. They seem to be solving the issue by depowering four of them, putting Billy out the picture, and having Mary be Shazam. But sooner or later at least Billy and Freddy should be back. Maybe use other military ranks for the others? The Young Justice cartoon called Mary "Sergeant".

I think it's a lot more fun when Billy and Mary can't say "Shazam" without being transformed by the magic lightning--and Freddy can't say "Captain Marvel!" The classic Captain Marvel comics were known for being funny and entertaining.
"Shazam!" is the trademark, but maybe the Old Wizard has ancient Egyptian names for the three.
Admiral Marvel
Commodore Marvel
Major Marvel
Colonel Marvel
Brigadier General Marvel
Major General Marvel
Lieutenant General Marvel
The only change I would make that actually has a chance of happening is making Mary his biological sister again.
Captain Wonder?
Captain Amazing?
Captain Miracle?
Captain Sensation?
Captain Mystery?
Captain Marvelous?
As long as they don’t call him Captain Whiz.

Just call him Captain Billy Whiz Bang! Fans of "The Music Man" will get the reference!
Actually, you're aware of where that originally came from?
Can't use it as the title of the comic book, it advertises the Marvelous Competition, there's already a much more well known and famous Captain Marvel that the general audience thinks of instead. It might not seem like a problem to you, but to WB and Discovery executives it is a problem to a broken degree no matter how much you or I or anyone else may wish otherwise.
