What does Torchbearer mean for Kyle?

And John should be the Master Builder

The one who held the torch when noone else could. He's the only character in GL history to ever be the sole Lantern in the universe. He'll always have that to his name, even though obviously nowadays it doesn't mean as much as it did then.

Whereas I'm pretty sure nobody who listed John first listed Hal at all.(and John was also on lists where another GL was listed first, whereas Hal wasn't on people's lists unless he was first) All of which does support the notion that John is the most popular in terms of being liked overall. (as opposed to the most votes for favorite, where Hal usually squeaks ahead of John)
Yeah, there's no way to see in what order people made their choices, but it is interesting to look at the data. The most popular combo is Hal/Jessica/John which received 16 votes as of 10am today, with Guy/Hal/John coming in close behind with 13 votes. The third most popular combo is Guy/John/Kyle with 11 votes.

While the poll asked for keeping three GL's, not everyone voted for three. Three people voted for 1 character, three voted for 2 characters, and three voted for 4.

Nearly half of people participating (36), included both Hal and John in their votes. And while 14 people who voted for Hal did not vote for John, 25 people who voted for John did not vote for Hal. The 11 vote difference is exactly the amount of votes separating the two characters.

    Again, not scientific, but interesting.

Those 25 may not have primarily been John supporters but just had him Top 3

I don't really understand what's the big deal of how others vote.

Yeah, it seems unnecessarily divisive about an already divisive topic

Well it was obvious that posting a divisive GL thread right after we just had another divisive GL thread will turn out the same way. And here we are.

It's not a big deal. Just something interesting to talk about. I don't think anyone's getting bent out of shape by it.

Oh god. Well Carl Weathers still has an active career and Arnold not so much anymore. So I guess there's the answer.

Though it should be noted that mrumsey's analysis of the available data *did* corroborate your theory...
