Guess the new X-Men (Year Two) roster

Okay, so an official and verified X-writer confirmed to me that there will be at least three women on the team.

That makes sense. We already know Jean and Firestar (or even if Firestar didn't win, all of the other top contenders were women) and I'd guess at least one of Rogue, Polaris, and Laura stays.

Y’know a lot of people complained last year when they revealed the roster early, but I personally am very anxious to know the new lineup.



Are we really thinking Rogue’s gonna get dropped? She’s too big of a character to not be in a book, but I also feel like supporting character for Destiny and Mystique in Immortal is not enough of a role.

We also have Alyssa Wong's upcoming book, which I wouldn't be surprised to see pick up one of the characters who leaves the team. But personally I think Rogue will stay and Laura will leave.

I think Laura leaving is the most likely yea. Especially since the mini seems like a transitional book for her.

Rogue is 50/50. She could leave or could stay. I know her husband seems like he's gonna have a lot of going on, so Excalibur may be back in the cards. But TBH the cast is already really full...

Polaris, IDK. If she does go, I hope a writer is able to integrate her into a cast.

The foundation's been formed, now it's time to build a structure around it, an... X-NETwork, if you will. Think less *revolving* door, and more *open* door policy. Less team unit, and more organization, with not all [always] serving in the field. So not 2 teams, necessarily, but more of... separate [specialized?] missions. Kinda like the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, as has been cited before, and already... shown & seen in story, actually.

-Scott and Jean, probably stay, maybe Scott ‘drops out’ because of the resurrection black leash and Jean leads the team
-Sun fire and rogue, 50/50, sun fire might stay, might not would it matter, poor guy does nothing. Rogue hasn’t been doing much either, but she’s a fave of Dugan and he might still want dibs.

If Rogue doesn't join the team then it looks like we could be missing a brick from the lineup. Though Jean can more than make up that with her TK powers. Any chance of Frenzy joining the new team? I'd be down with that.

Here's a team I would love. I couldn't fit Wolvie into the grid, so he's included separately, but that's no indicator that he has a larger role. Also, incidentally, it seems 5-6 of these characters will be on the new roster.
