It was all part of he plan from the beginning probably. She probably seeked him out not just found him, using knowledge from a past life. Probably for his connection to Karoka.

Vulcan is able to fly and breath through space due to energy manipulation. Havok was able to beat Vulcan after he absorbed an entire star and blasted Vulcan at full power

I'm not sure how this relates to my question. Are you saying he's manipulating air to fly in space as apposed to electromagnetism or solar energy? If so I'd like proof of that claim... also does Vulcan even need to breath?

He’s a mutant. He’s Scott and Havok’s brother who was stolen by the Sh’iar and raised as a slave. So yes all human things apply to him. He can manipulate energy so it sustains him rather than air for a certain length of time so that is how he survives in space

The air thing might just create plot holes if you look too deep into it. Actually Gambit’s abilities are better able to explain it. Gambit can manipulate energy as well. Turning the potential energy (energy stored like tension in a compressed spring for example) to kinetic energy (energy realized into its active form. Ie energy in motion). Kinetic energy is the basis of all energy manipulation. Gambit, at his full power, would be able to control temperature, motion, cause explosions, cause things to dissolve, vibrate things etc etc. and using any number of these air itself could be manipulated to your liking.

So energy manipulators take what is stored and essentially convert it. With enough training in how to harness it Vulcan should be able to manipulate the air around him. Especially since he has heat blasts. Heat and cold are a simple way to manipulate what air does.

But if you get too deep into these specifics all the energy powers can kinda seem the same and boring so it’s better not to think too much about it.

At the moment Vulcan doesn’t manipulate air, he simply propels himself using energy. But who knows where the story goes

Energy manipulation is a very nebulous term, and an omega level energy manipulator is one of the single most broken concept I have ever heard of in krakoa. Because the sheer versatility it gives you is dumbfounding. The problem with vulcan is that he only thinks in terms of raw power instead if versatility, how hard he can hit or how much energy he can drain from his opponent. There is more to it than blast power everything from the very ordinances of the universe/heavens to mutant powers and all that uses energy. Vulcan in theory should be able to manipulate that or even at least influence it. He is a direct polar opposite to bobby/entropy(heat death).

Bruh show me the comic issue where it states Vulcan was messed up because he grew up an orphan and in slavery and I will give you many mutants who went through same. He was given a messed up hand that's true but his mental illness never developed until Xavier effectively sent him and his best friends to their death.

A dimension-hopping AU Franklin had the PF, and he worked with Ultimate Reed, so there's a tenuous link right there.

Aaah as if I already knew when I didnt. That's concept is really hijacked now it's like Uatu or galactus or Odin... they have all lost their edge their mystery their prestige. Now there is a lost of people that can kill pheonix and it includes thor and wanda and wakanda has a pheonix buster. Like it's over for my sweet sweet bird. Also they gave the bird to echo and simply keep writing very bad stories about her as a host.

When you start to delve into I can see where you’re coming from, though I like that this can branch into so many paths depending on the abilities of the characters. I tend to look at elemental and energy manipulators as classes of generalists and specialists that overlap in certain areas. Like Storm, Crystal, Magneto, and Polaris are all energy and elemental manipulators that specialize in certain forms of energy and matter (though still vast) vs Vulcan, Bishop and Captain Marvel are more generalists in varying ways and capacities (absorbing all forms of energy but emitting only specific types - Carol and Bishop), or absorption and manipulation of all types with no limits (Vulcan). It’ll be interesting to see where Brand goes with Vulcan and what approach she would use to hone his strength of will. Or if we see him eventually coming to Storm’s side and learning from her or Magneto.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

I like the terms “specialists” vs “generalists” I always viewed Storm as kinda a specialist. But to get super super unnecessarily scientifically accurate all mutant powers are some form of energy manipulation. Even with muscle tensing powers like Wolverine’s claws or Marrow’s spikes are, scientifically speaking, a manipulation of energy in some form as well. Telepaths manipulate psionic energy. Bishop absorbs energy, Strong Guy absorbs kinetic energy, Gambit charges kinetic energy.

    Energy is in everything

Omega Vulcan vs New Sun Gambit has always been a energy fight I’ve wanted to see

Very true…And the bold would’ve been EPIC! Arakko or Earth would be reduced to dust though!
