Like a Red Dragon, The Phoenix shall Soar in 2024!
Happy New Year!
I'm hoping that 2022 gives us some more to talk about regarding Zan & Jayna.
I didn't mention it, but Zan & Jayna have also been in DC vs. Vampires.
Unfortunately, Zan didn't survive past issue #1. This makes me wonder what part Jayna will play in this.
At least it's not mainstream DC. LOL
Sounds like she will be one of the main characters fighting the vampire army, my money is on that she has to use the small piece bone of her brother that Batman found to activate her powers...which is actually very grim and kind of messed up.
Edit: It just dawned on me after my post that maybe my new avatar isn't the best for a wonder twins thread.

"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
Iron Studios has released a set of Wonder Twins figures.
I ordered mine from here. Yes, pricey, but worth it to me.

Latest collectibles arrived today. Water bottle added for size comparison.
looks like a movie is greenlit:

Hopefully it's based on the recent comics mini-series?
Hopefully more whimsical and not dark in tone.
For when my rants on the forums just aren’t enough: https://thevindicativevordan.tumblr.com/
random speculation:
Clarify the powers and create limits. It’s make-believe, obviously. But in the cartoons, Jayna’s animal-morphing conveniently included giant alien creatures, to help advance the plot further than a sloth could. Yes, she’s an alien, thus maybe an ‘Exorrian Chimera’ is in her wheelhouse, but for purposes of crafting a narrative, if she could turn into that every time, win every fight and enact a perfect rescue, why wouldn’t she?
Zan would sometimes become full blown machines and vehicles, albeit made from ice. This included steam shovels, and even mini-jets which somehow were able to produce exhaust and thrust. This kind of clipped some DNA from Plastic Man’s shtick, where in his tales he would have similar “universal” shape-shifting power. Hopefully there's a way to present Zan's water-form morphing in a more sophisticated way.
Casting-wise, the original cartoons had a tan-colored Jayna and Zan. For this film they should think of casting East or South Asian actors. Cast real teens, preferably. At minimum, don’t cast 90210 style with someone pushing 30 playing 16.
