Default How do you pronounce psylocke

So I'd love some help with this, I remember reading years ago that it was pronounced "psylac" as in lilac referring to the color of her costume (which was lilac colored back in the 80s), also what is up with the spelling to begin with? I know she was originally introduced in Europe and not the USA, is there a regional reason the "lac" part of her name is spelled locke? I know lilac is spelled "lelog" in Welsh and log is kind of close to locke.

I ask myself the same. I always say Psylocke with a long E at the end ( or I in my language)

Another thing that bugs me is, why does some names or words have an E at its end. Like the comic book from IDW Locke and Key. How do I pronounce that. Lock or Lockeeee?

I thought it was obviously SY-LOCK. Psy is almost always SY, and Lock as in John Locke.
    This isn't Dormamu.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Yes. Older English spelling.

I distinctly remember it was an attempt at someone having a "PSYCHE", pronounced "PSY-KEY", and he thought, "What about a PSY-LOCK", then?

Not all his work is winners.

The only time I've heard the name uttered in any official capacity was in the 90s X-men cartoon and it was pronounced with the lilac spelling, as for the video game Worstblogever I just can't take any translation from a video game as cannon, I still think of Venom sounding like the 1950s Fly thanks to that Marvel arcade game fom the late 80s "Help Me! Help Me!" Completely ruined any chance of that character being cool to me as a kid.

Oh man so I just watched the X-Men episode with Psylocke (End and Beginning) and they pronounce her name Psy- La, Maybe there is no correct way to say her name as long as you have Psy at the beginning you can call her what ever you want.

I think Alan Moore created the character, she was a British exclusive character originally along with Meggan and the Crazy Gang
