    Default The Acolyte

There's been some more details about this upcoming TV series, which will apparently take place in the later days of the High Republic (around 100 years before TPM) but start to see the Sith's plans start to go in motion. Apparently it will bring back some EU elements, but of course remixed for the Disney continuity. I'm kind of curious which ones. Some are speculating Revan, but there's already some reboot of KOTOR in development that would probably deal with that. I'm guessing that perhaps the series might involve perhaps Darth Plageuis, or his own Master. Amanda Stenberg is being considered for the main role; however I think it's more likely that she's playing a Jedi hero who perhaps investigates this dark side resurgence.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the Sith, their culture, and methodology. I feel like this show is going to be more of what people were expecting from the Book of Boba Fett.

Very excited for this show. The Bane Trilogy are some of my favorite Star Wars stories and
they explore all about the Sith. Hoping this will be similar.

Rest of cast, along with a BTS pic. https://www.starwars.com/news/the-ac...-cast-revealed

Seems Carrie Ann Moss is on a bit of a comeback, with Matrix, her villain role in the Horizon Video game and now this.

Given the basic plot given I'm thinking Carrie probably plays the Jedi Master. Seems to be the right fit for her.

You know the plot synopsis kind of reminds me of the Darth Maul novel Shadow Hunter.

"A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated."

In Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, a Padawan and an information broker uncover the Sith's plot prior to TPM, but are then hunted and silenced by Maul. So I wonder if this Padawan/Master duo find out about the Sith but also wind up dead.

Given he’s the only white male in the cast list I’m calling that Dean Charles Chapman is going to be secretly Darth Plagueis.

    Oh dear god no.

They're confirming it's more Sith focused and that the sith will "infiltrate the Jedi" somehow.
