Spider-Man and the Avengers against Mephisto?!

I love any story in which Mephisto (our Big Joe stand-in, IMO) is made into a fool, take my money.

Spencer made Mephisto an important enemy for Peter, MJ, their daughter, and the Osborn family. Boomerang also died because of him. I don't want it all to be destroyed, Mephisto must be defeated, but he must not be a fool who cannot determine which Parker's daughter and from which universe will defeat him. This makes Spencer's story meaningless.

You reminded me of one thing Mephisto did that I *greatly* enjoyed he killed Boomerang (sort of). I guess it is true, everyone has a good point about them if you look hard enough.

With all this, seriously, how is it possible they don't include Spider-Man and the Spider-Verse here? Pretty sure the Spiders' help could be useful to the Avengers.

One: MJ was never pregnant. Two, what future did Peter give up? The one where he's fugitive because he betrayed Iron Man? Three, my point was that other characters such as Ghost Rider have more reasons to hate Mephisto than he does.

I think it could be neither Mayday or Annie. If you re-read the pre-OMD build up, the daughter in Peter and MJ's future shown to him is called Mary.

Honestly, I would say RYV holds more weight than a random possible future that showed up for only a panel, specially how RYV MJ was affected when seeing Mayday, and Mayday's and Annie's bonding over how they could've been sisters, it wouldn't be as impactful if Mayday and Annie didn't have this possibility of being sisters in RYV.

Then again, by nature of MC2, RYV and whatever else being just alternate universes, it's also likely the kids were neither Mayday, Mary, Annie or whatever else too.

Wouldn't that make Mephisto a fool? He thought she was the daughter of Peter and MJ from Earth-616, but it turns out that this daughter is from another universe. I do not like this. Also, I absolutely don't want Dan Slott to write a Spider-Man vs. Mephisto story, someone like Nick Spencer should write it.

I honestly wouldn't want Spencer to do it either, as much as he understands Spidey, Spencer is terrible at writing magic, so a possible victory would probably be an asspull even by magic's standards.

To make it worse, considering Spidey is little more than an ant for someone on Mephisto's level, a victory via asspull might be the only way too...

Doesn't Peter have a healing factor? Not as strong as Wolverine's or Ms. Marvel's though. In MC2, he was no longer using his powers due to an injury, but in RYV he's still active as Spider-Man. Maybe that's why he looks younger?

He has, but it's not really consistent, even when it's there, it's just better than early Wolverine's in general, I think the highest feat it has is when it healed his eyes when they were cut or burned?

Because of Spencer's run, Spidey has more reasons to hate Mephisto 'cause the retcons make it look like Mephisto directly caused Norman to become GG, so by association he has more reasons to detest him if he considers this possibility.

Not that it means he's the most deserving though, but it can feel that way since Mephisto damaged the Spidey franchise far more than anything else, nothing else he did made so many real life people butthurt, and I'm sure that's a fact he'd be very proud of.

so with this "Council of Red" Mephisto Army in the mix, will there be a final resolution to the pact made with Peter? (and hopefully releasing Peter and blocking Mephisto from doing anything like that ever again).

Telling somebody that there's a possible alternate future that's not not going to happen doesn't exactly sound like something somebody would be angry about.
