Do people like Brisson? I’m not really familiar with him.

He seems to like Clown Hunter, so that's one strike against him.

I said this elsewhere but Brisson now has Deathstroke Inc and Batman Inc that he’s writing, I’d imagine a crossover is inevitable.

He did a decent run on Iron Fist years ago.

It's not a big name and it doesn't even make me want to read, but it's the DC standard these days. Rosenberg, Howard, WW line......etc, names that in Marvel sound like "Meh"

He did a pretty good Old Man Logan run.

He's fine? I've checked out a few books by and they're not bad but at the same time I don't think I've stuck with any of them beyond the first arc.

He's sort of the writer version of a "house style" artist. He's competent enough but he doesn't ever do anything exciting. Good enough for a fill in...but a real feature? Nah, that's a pass.

Again, I thought his OML stuff was pretty good (minus maybe a little too much Logan wank when it came to fighting Maestro).

Also he just seemed to really love Glob Herman for some reason.

I only know Brisson from his work on New Mutants. He would alternate with Jonathan Hickman for a while and his work really derailed the book. He wrote 9 issues, 7 of which were bad. His last 2 issues were actually very good, a huge improvement, and showed that he has talent. But 2 out of 9 issues being good is a bad record.

I will say John Timms feels like an odd fit for this book unless they want it cartoony because of Ghost-Maker, I guess?
