    MOAR WITNESSES INBOUND!

That includes, at the very least a big get... Pat Cipollone (White House Counsel) is honoring the subpoena and will give a deposition to the panel on Wednesday (that we are likely to see the video footage of at some point soon to corroborate Hutchinson's testimony).

Remember, it was the testimony of the White House Counsel that did in Nixon during Watergate.

    Nixon didn't have Fox news.

Martha Mitchell took down Nixon. Is Hutchinson today's Martha Mitchell? Not quite the same, I don't think. For one thing, the world is a lot less likely to write someone off now who is blowing the whistle.

Does the Justice Department arrest Trump officials who defy Congress?

I dont see why any Trump offical or GOP would refuse at this point. They all want equal time and dont they want to say under oath how the 6th hearings are getting it all wrong?

Not all, but they did nab Peter Navarro on June 10th.

It's an ongoing trial. This is not LA Law or The West Wing, things are not resolved in 45 minutes.

    From 3 weeks ago:

A federal judge on Wednesday declined to dismiss contempt of Congress charges against former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon over his refusal to cooperate with the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols issued his ruling immediately after hearing courtroom argument from federal prosecutors and Bannon’s lawyers. The move clears the way for Bannon’s trial to start July 18, but one member of Bannon’s team said he might seek to have it delayed.
    From 4 days ago:
DOJ urges judge to reject Steve BANNON’s effort to delay his July 18 criminal trial. Bannon cited the Jan. 6 committee hearings to seek a delay. DOJ notes he’s barely been mentioned.

Thank you for the info. The press does not talk about what happened after the arrest. I am glad to see it going somewhere.

Another difference is that Trump is out of office. It's a different dynamic.

I don't think he's getting impeached again, so there are three ways to hurt him. They could find enough for criminal prosecution. They could find stuff that is so politically embarrassing he loses the primary. They could find stuff that is bad enough that he opts not to run (perhaps as part of a deal to avoid criminal liability.)
    Sincerely,

What at this point could be politically embarrassing to him? Can he even muster the shame to be embarrassed, outside of finding out his true monetary worth? What would be the breaking point for the MAGA crowd that he hasn't done already? Short of a video of him and his old drinking buddy Epstein being intimate with an underage girl I can't think of anything, and I'm sure even that would be met with "well did he know her age? A lot of those girls target older men with wealth you know!"
