The first Crisis is the GOAT and is untouchable on nearly every level.

All art is subjective. It's impossible for any piece of art from any medium to be "objectively best."

Utterly pretentious garbage written by a technically adequate writer whose head is so far up his own ass he's completely unaware of his own internalized sexism and misogyny, who thinks darkness and misery porn for its own sake is "art," who thinks a childish edgelord's embrace of amorality is a cover for his own lack of morals, and who thinks completely destroying characters without doing a single damn thing to build them back up even slightly is "mature." Apart from an apparent lack of overt sexism or misogyny, you and this story and its writer are mirror images of each other, right down to the delusions of artistic grandeur. The worst kind of comics story made for the worst kind of fan.

COIE is still the most ambitious ever, and, IMHO, still the best. But there are othrer I really enjoyed, such as Invasion, Final Night, Zero Hour, Blackest Night and others.

    Peace

Invasion and Flashpoint are the best to me.

COIE.....have to read it again, since I read it so long ago I barely remember anything.

To me the main thing about a big event crossover is there have to be aftereffects and fallout from the event. If this huge thing happens and then its forgotten a month latter then the wirters just wasted my time. That and the length. No crossover should last more than 4 or 5 months. Crisis is the one exception to the length rule.

Was Forever Evil a crossover event? If so, then I liked that. In theory, though. Some parts I hated.

Brightest Day is still my favorite DC story of all time, and seeing as it came in the midst of Blackest Night, I had to vote for Blackest Night.

If you're talking just a one-time deal that didn't involve tie-ins to other titles, don't forget
was extremely mind-blowing when it was originally released back in 1976.

Awesome! Since Inter-Company Crossovers are allowed, my choice would be...

    Batman VS. Predator
