It has been a really long time since I've been here. Probably around 2 years? Based on the fact that the last Nomad thread I did was in 2020.
The other day, June 5th to be precise... I was just thinking about Nomad.
Now, I've not picked up a new comic in a very long time. Life has gotten so complicated and messy that so many things took over (my wife's health being the primary one).
But I was thinking about Nomad... and how I wish he was back. If he was back - and in the hands of a capable writer (Fabian, anyone?) and a good artist (I loved his ongoing series, but mid point on - they got an artist that made enjoying the book a struggle - because the story was great, but the visuals were difficult to get by - at least for me).
Anyway - I had Nomad on the mind.
And on my comic book podcast (which has also grinded to a halt due to both my co-host and my wife's health issues) - I just started writing.
No planning or anything.
Just writing.
And it was just ... thought vomit, about how to bring Jack back.
And potentially explain it away nicely.
And clear him of the consulted mess that's been a part of who he has been.
It involves Winter Soldier, since he was a part of Nomad's end.
I was angry and hated Winter Soldier way back when. I've gotten over that.
I think this ... thought vomit... turned out all right.
I could edit it and fix it. Spice it up a little.
But it was mostly to get this out of my head.

Read, if you're so inclined.
Don't have to. The purpose is to see who else dug Nomad/Jack Monroe/even as Scourge?
