    Default Sleepy Hollow Reboot

A Sleepy Hollow Reboot is happening at Paramount I always thought the headless horseman had a lot of potential as a horror series so I look forward to this.

The word reboot gets thrown around way too much.

    What would you call it?

    I'd call it an adaptation.

It would only be a remake if they took something like Burton's Sleep Hollow and redid that version of the story. All semantics though.

Yeah, reboot seems like a misnomer to me. It's an adaptation of a short story by Washington Irving, pure and simple.

No matter how many times this story gets adapted, they'll never top the classic Disney animated short.

I was just calling it a reboot because that's what screen rant called it.

Sure, but then you questioned why someone would push back on it.

So another film based on Irving's work.
I first thought it was regarding the 4 season series that aired on Fox. That was only cancelled in the last 3-4 years so my mind was thinking, early to start that show up again.

Movie. I'm game. The concept is so much fun regardless.

Are they talking about the Johnny Depp movie or the Fox TV show?

They're making a movie. It's by the studio that made the Depp film, but right now there's no reason to believe that it's a reboot of that specific version.

The Disney short scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I suppose they could have the Horseman sprint out of the tree again. However, Depp and Walken are getting a little long in the tooth to replay their roles. The movie was great.
