I think Trey Tucker is a fantastic option if they are not going with either of the two Supermen currently in play. See for yourself.
Yeah - both Gerard and Cavill are short. Cavill is the shortest of all the JL actors but for Gadot and Gadot is only an inch or so shorter than Cavill. Trey has a good Superman look.

You suggesting Donner's costume wasn't classic enough? It was for me. Or was the Donnerverse just too ancient in history?

Anyway, I'm always pro-classic, so voted yes.

Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Honestly, donner's superman only fits with curt swan design for the character. It has a lot of "haha!heehee!!" old romcom vibes like the batman adam west show.Donner's superman isn't close to anything from the other artystyles or designs.I am not talking about face either. It's more about the body and general vibe.Gary frank draws chris reeves face but still abit uncanny valley for me.It feels very creepy..

I generally prefer something like joe shuster design or jack kirby(gotta love the eyebrows)...clint eastwood superman..squinty eyes, square jaws...etc a smirk that feels like A guy who doesn't take anything seriously.

That post was from June of last year. I shouldn't have to answer for posts that are more than six months old. How can I be expected to remember back that far?

I think what that guy was thinking seven months ago was mainly to do with the classic S design. The Donnerverse has a different sort of design. It's close, but that only counts in horseshoes and curling.

There are also aspects of the boots and trunks and such that aren't so perfect. For the time, it's about as good as was possible. But with current technology, they could make it look even better and more like the comic books.

Aren't we all still answering for things we did years and decades ago?

That clarifies things. I can see that view. I agree in so far as perfection is far easier today.
