Spencer's solution is unfortunately the "best" one, it keeps Kraven dead while also allowing others to use Kraven in some way.
Not a lot of options besides him to be fair, unless Sasha and Ana are used.
I dunno man, DeMatteis failed to make Alyosha interesting back when he wrote Alyosha, I don't see Vladimir getting that benefit.
Her death became more tragic the more I thought about it.
First, she was killed just to test out the resurrection **** they were using, which, only brought back Vladimir as some monster seen as a failure, which's bad enough, but then Vladimir got killed anyways, so she was killed for nothing.
Then, before she got killed, she asked Cassandra to tell Spidey that she doesn't blame him for her death, but Cassandra never got to interact with Spidey during Grim Hunt, only with Anya and Julia, and Julia would be a logical choice to know of Mattie's last words, but she doesn't tell Spidey anything, so she died without Spidey knowing that she doesn't blame him.
It gets worse when you remember Spidey barely reacted to her death, he was reacting more to Kaine's.
And it gets even worse if you notice few characters actually cared about her death, after Grim Hunt, Spidey never mentioned her again, Anya could think about how someone the same age as her got killed in the hero business, but that's not talked about either, JJ mostly forgot about her death too, though at the very least, she was remembered by him in Silk's tie-in to Clone Conspiracy, and again at the end of Slott's ASM right before Go Down Swinging, unfortunately, she wasn't mentioned in Zdarsky's Spectacular#6, which sucks because Marla was mentioned twice lol.
So yeah, her last words were never told, and she's mostly forgotten, I don't really care about Mattie but damn, that's callous.
Mattie is still more respected than Ben, just because she wasn't brought back just to become evil, hell, her return in Clone Conspiracy had her being a hero.spoilers:end of spoilers
Ben can relate...now there's a team-up I'd read. lol

"Will anyone care?"
Fact that the answer to this is "not really" makes it more depressing than Marvel thinks, and fact that Mattie is too small of a character for even fans to care makes it even more depressing, ****.
