Spencer's solution is unfortunately the "best" one, it keeps Kraven dead while also allowing others to use Kraven in some way.

Not a lot of options besides him to be fair, unless Sasha and Ana are used.

I dunno man, DeMatteis failed to make Alyosha interesting back when he wrote Alyosha, I don't see Vladimir getting that benefit.

Her death became more tragic the more I thought about it.

First, she was killed just to test out the resurrection **** they were using, which, only brought back Vladimir as some monster seen as a failure, which's bad enough, but then Vladimir got killed anyways, so she was killed for nothing.

Then, before she got killed, she asked Cassandra to tell Spidey that she doesn't blame him for her death, but Cassandra never got to interact with Spidey during Grim Hunt, only with Anya and Julia, and Julia would be a logical choice to know of Mattie's last words, but she doesn't tell Spidey anything, so she died without Spidey knowing that she doesn't blame him.

It gets worse when you remember Spidey barely reacted to her death, he was reacting more to Kaine's.

And it gets even worse if you notice few characters actually cared about her death, after Grim Hunt, Spidey never mentioned her again, Anya could think about how someone the same age as her got killed in the hero business, but that's not talked about either, JJ mostly forgot about her death too, though at the very least, she was remembered by him in Silk's tie-in to Clone Conspiracy, and again at the end of Slott's ASM right before Go Down Swinging, unfortunately, she wasn't mentioned in Zdarsky's Spectacular#6, which sucks because Marla was mentioned twice lol.

So yeah, her last words were never told, and she's mostly forgotten, I don't really care about Mattie but damn, that's callous.

    spoilers:
    Ben can relate...now there's a team-up I'd read. lol
    end of spoilers
Mattie is still more respected than Ben, just because she wasn't brought back just to become evil, hell, her return in Clone Conspiracy had her being a hero.

    Anyways:

    "Will anyone care?"

Fact that the answer to this is "not really" makes it more depressing than Marvel thinks, and fact that Mattie is too small of a character for even fans to care makes it even more depressing, ****.

Please no, don't give Wells angst porn ideas, it'll fall flat like everything else.

Plus at this point, it kinda feels like it's too late, Clone Conspiracy could have given him a reason to think about her, but neither Slott, Zdarsky or Spencer did so, Last Remains could have her be one of the many unburied corpses (Which could be more impactful for the many Spider-People there), but bizarrely enough Spencer forgot about her, even though her death being "his fault" works.

Thinking of it, given how unexplained Kindred's powers are, him using Mattie's corpse to be able to connect himself to the web of life could be an explanation, instead he does it, uh, just because... Man, Spencer is fucking terrible when it comes to writing magic...

Mattie was never a good character. She was part of the awful Mackie/Byrne relaunch in the late 90s, some pet character of John Byrne that was meant to replace Mayday as the preeminent Spider-Girl (that failed obviously). The most memorable thing about her is that death scene.

Perhaps, but I think she at least deserved the chance to become a better character under a better writer or creative team. Besides her death in Grim Hunt, there was also her appearance in Alias's third TPB volume where she was being drugged by her so-called boyfriend so he could harvest her DNA for Mutant Growth Hormone, and after she was rescued by Jessicas Jones and Drew, she went in for payback against MGH dealers in The Loners, post-Civil War. Was an interesting direction for her, I thought.
The spider is always on the hunt.

According to a comment made on DeMatties' blog, he has no plans for Ben at the moment, which means Lost Hunt isn't about him

For now, all details about THE LOST HUNT are under wraps, but, once it's announced, I'll be talking about it here!

    It's Kraven's origin story

    https://aiptcomics.com/2022/07/22/sd...t-hunt-kraven/

And the marriage is back, along with MJ's pregnancy as it's set during the Clone Saga. More to the point, it's set after The Final Adventure, so Peter's powerless

This is the best news in a long time! Peter and Mary Jane are married, they are waiting for the birth of Mayday and this is canon! Wow, that's cool. So, I think the main villain could be this guy https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Gregor_(Earth-616)
