I feel like Lucasfilm could very successfully emulate how Warner Brothers approaches their continuity with their DC Comics properties. You have your main DCEU, but you also have alternate takes of character that wouldn't fit into that universe such as Joker & the Batman, and you have the direct to DVD movies, the CW shows, and miscellaneous slseries like Harley Quinn or Young Justice that belong in their own respective continuities. I think this shows us that you can have alternate versions and not have it compete or detract with what's considered the main canon. It's not as ideal a situation as what the MCU has with their movies and shows all fitting into one timeline, but Star Wars under Disney hasn't experienced MCU levels of creative success. Maybe it would benefit Lucasfilm to experiment in more niche mediums like comics and novels.

Funny thing is CW and Force Unleashed came out at roughly the same time so I think there was a bit of synergy with both characters-their fighting styles are very similar (backhand lightsaber). Although I don't think we ever saw Anakin or Vader do that...

Witwer has been around since the Disney thing though, although he mainly voices Maul. He also did Palpatine for a few episodes in Rebels (Think because of Tim Curry's health and they only got Ian back around the finale) and various other characters and background voices for the movies and shows.

I think it would at least not really make much sense to continue the timeline further into the future. I think at the point were it ended it was allready to far removed from what more casual fans knew.

A out-of-continuity animated series, like Visions could be really cool.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

An animated show set during the Old Republic or Legacy era, aimed towards a slightly older audience would be great.
