Default What series do you think kept their quality all the way through?

We all have shows that we love, even though they are less than perfect.

Sons of Anarchy, I love, but it did go on a little too long. The same of Burn Notice.

But some shows kept their quality, from beginning to end.

For me, it was Person of Interest and Strikeback.

The quality on them may have dipped at certain points, but were still great watches and rewatches.

What are some shows you thought kept their quality?

Avatar: The Last Airbender - stands out to em because it was one of the series smart enough to pace itself out early on, so it really only increased in quality overall, and not only is there only *one* filler episode, but the show knew how to properly mock it.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

I was thinking along the line of series that have ended, not that are ongoing

    Leverage comes to mind.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

My choices are generally from the days of episodic television when it was a lot easier to maintain the quality they started with.

The Jeffersons (Strangely, was a spinoff from "All in the Family" but maintained itself better, mostly due to AinF losing half their cast in the last season).

    The Wild Wild West

    The Six Million Dollar Man

    The Bionic Woman

    Magnum, P.I.

I could go on and on.

    Far more recent shows:

    The Mandalorian

    Lost in Space (Netflix version)

    Star Trek Continues

I grant you, it's far easier to maintain quality when a season is ten episodes or so and sometimes more than a year apart.
    Power with Girl is better.

    M*A*S*H*
    Cheers
Seinfeld (some people hate the last episode, but I didn't think it was bad myself. It fit the series.)
Dead Like Me (as long as we don't count the movie)

Breaking Bad is first show I thought of.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Very few shows retain the same level of quality from the first season to the last. Most either gradually get better or worse.
