A new Death Note tv show is apparently happening on Netflix by the Duffer Brothers I actually like the movie but perhaps a tv show would be better.

The US movie was a hot mess so I'm wary of another US adaptation. The best angle would be a spinoff set after the original series. Which is something the Japanese films did toy with.
