Weird question - Do you listen to music whilst reading comic books?

I've always been curious about this. It's a really personal thing.

For me, it depends which title of course but generally yeah I do. I tend to listen to instrumental stuff though.

When I'm reading 'normal' books I don't.

What about the rest of you guys?

I once binge re-read the first 40 Issues of the original Ultimate Spider-man with music on, it was intense. Best reading experience I have had in years.
Loved it the most when I reached the issues regarding peter and MJ, with music, and the rain, perfect.

I also read the Civil War with music, you can imagine the excitement.

Good question. More often than not, I listen to the local sports talk radio station while reading comics.

Mentally, a random song starts playing in my mind but I rarely have actual music playing in the background.

I usually listen some Orchestral bits or put on an Epic Music playlist. Honstly, I'm not that into music. I like a bit when I'm writting but I'm not into genres (deathcore, metalcore, progressive metal,etc) that much. I like a nice, clean, sometimes intense or emotional track that goes with the tone of the book.

New comics generally No, except for Buskers as I generally read them on a seat at the top of Buchanan Street, or on the bus home from Glasgow.

Sometimes yes, most times not. I'm not sure why on those sometimes, maybe it was just coincidence that my headphones or speaker music is on when I start reading.

I enjoy putting on instrumental soundtrack stations on Pandora when I read comics. Its neat when themes from Batman and Dark Knight sync up nicely with what I'm reading. I was surprised how much I enjoy the Marvel soundtracks, as they weren't something that particularly stuck out to me upon initial viewings of their respective films (outside of the main themes to the first Iron Man and Avengers). But listening to them while reading has been fun.

I regularly listen to music while reading professional material (engineering, technical manuals, etc).

Yeah, usually instrumental of some kind. Jazz, classical, ambient.
