I just listnened to the Cerebro podcast and Al Ewing said that the Rockslide story beat is coming. (Wrongside is what he called it lol) And we saw that rocky foot on the cover of KoX. So we shall see how it goes.

Ha. They’re going to restore Rockslide but leave Gorgon as is I imagine.

Is Rachel is pyro now? She seems to be shooting out flames and has fire for hair.

Will be interesting to see who gets brought back this way and how they’re different.
Yeah it seems too big of a deal for Apocalypse to have Mercator protect it and close off the whole realm, for it not to be used in a big way.

Excellent! Hopefully the Siege is indeed involved and he takes over that beat.

When she was teleported into Otherworld the flame powers appeared, though it's not clear what exactly they mean. But I feel like it's related to her destiny and the phoenix.

I’m listening to it now but skipping around looking for portions that pique my interest. It’s over four hours long! Wish there was a summary somewhere. I really don’t like podcasts as I can just read through written content so much faster.

I can't even be bothered reading this. It was telegraphed ages ago and he's not staying dead for long. He'll come back messed up in some way that'll link with what Destiny is doing. I just wish he and Rogue actually got some love from the writers while they were being plot cogs.

It's kinda cool that your avatar appears to include a pop-tart, a pink one at that.

I mean they even call her Askani.

It’s not like Excalibur didn’t have the issues to include a supporting character.

I’m aware they’ve said this is a different Jaspers but honestly the only difference from Jasper’s warp Jaspers this one seems to have is he’s less inclined to acting on his urges than either of the previous Jaspers. Which arguably makes him more dangerous?
For an all-out war on mutants in Otherworld, it certainly is narratively convenient for Jaspers to be to only, sole, solitary mutant to be in any public danger.

On another note, is Rictor's love for Apocalypse ignoring anything in his history that might have happened before Excalibur #1?

Nothing too specific other than Rictor being present when the original X-Factor fought Apocalypse. X-Factor and the kids then lived on A's "Ship", which ended up attacking them as it was still under A's control. I don't believe Rictor and Apocalypse had any other crossings of paths again until Krakoa.

That's a Red cover not a KoX cover.

Actually BobbysWorld at some point did a whole breakdown of why Rictor should hate Apocalypse and it had something to with Stryfe killing his parents. I didn’t read those comics, but maybe he can swing in and explain.

Ah yes I think it was Stryfe who killed his father during a gun-selling deal, that's right, who was of course reared by Apocalypse to be sadistic. Julio's family ran a gun-smuggling syndicate and he spent time in prison with his father actually.
