Brick Bat. Dresses like a bat and uses a brick as a weapon. I think this is the corniest character I've heard.

He is the best villain ever, better than the Joker and if Alex Ross ever does a villain piece to go with that awesome hero display, Brick Bat needs to be there.

OMG! The Target is just a punch line waiting to happen!

Amazing Man is one of the most commonly cribbed of the bunch. First "homaged" as Dave Cannon, Thunderbolt, then Iron Fist. Next Roy Thomas retrofits him to add diversity to All-Star Squadron, and that version gets legacied by Johns. Finally, "John Aman" turns up over at Marvel. I imagine there are others that I haven't seen.

Many of them look almost identical, especially the men. Face, hair, height, body-type.

Yet don't you DARE re-imagine one of them as a person of color or a woman (or both!) or fanboy twitter will get you...

That may have partially have to do with how they’re all drawn by the same person. I felt that when Bill Everett drew Amazing-Man for example, he seemed to draw him similarly to the Sub-Mariner, which I feel Alex Ross’ drawing is distinct from:
