    Stan Goldberg, legendary Archie Comics artist and Silver Age Marvel colorist, passed away Sunday at the age of 82.

    How sad. Along with the legendary Dan DeCarlo, Mr. Goldberg had been one of the most prolific artists ever at Archie Comics. I certainly enjoyed his work over the decades. He will be missed.

    The first comic book I ever picked up was a Stan Goldberg issue of Archie. May he rest in peace.
