Like a Red Dragon, The Phoenix shall Soar in 2024!
How many random teams will Aaron come up with in this run?
Szardos?! Is he a brother or maybe husband to Margali Szardos -- foster mother of Nightcrawler?!
Did I miss an issue where the avengers got lost in time?
I'm not reading Avengers forever... did it happen there?
Is that series worth reading?
It’s an extension of Aaron’s idea that There was an Avengers team in every era, much like someone invented a 1959 Avengers.
Did you actually read it? Jane and Carol were secretly helping this team, so yeah, they time travelled somehow. Carol left a plane for Sebastian to find, and while he was fighting some Nazi planes, he had help from Valkyrie.

Timeline wise this makes sense for Blade, and at the rate Aaron's going I wouldn't be surprised if the MCU incorporated this idea of past supernatural teams in the MCU.
But Man-Thing...... wasn't he created in the 70s? Is this not Ted Salis?
Also am I the only one who notices Aaron linking Blade and Man-Thing together. First Boy-Thing now this 1940s team up
More will likely be revealed next issue, but this is really a continuation of the battle against Mephisto Aaron's been pushing since his second Avengers arc. I'd bet this ties into Mephisto's council of Red, the interdimensional Mephisto team
This feels a little more like the interconnected history Aaron's been building. With the Stoneage Avengers to now. Interconnecting the Asgardians, Starbrand, Ghostrider, Iron Fist , Agamotto, Black Panther etc. Call it Destiny or what have you but he's just linked all these characters ancestrally and historically for thousands of years now.
The J-man
There’s a whole civilisation of Man-Things in Weirdworld, so I’m guessing that like Weapon V, Man-Thing’s branch of Weapon Plus was adapting a pre-exiting superhuman element
An interesting concept. Needs more women. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Snowbird's mother, Nelvanna. After all, Canada did participate in WW2 as well. It would be nice to see someone representing our neighbor to the north.
You just know if they use a Canadian it'll be Wolverine.

The J-man
Probably, but that would be most unfortunate. It would be an opportunity for surprise revelations and secret histories for lesser used characters. Especially if it was a known character who just so happened to have roots in Canada that no one knew about until the story went to publication.
I'm in. I love comics set in WW2.
