Honestly, I love Hickman's creator-owned books but I've never been able to get into most of his Marvel work. I'm hoping he'll quit the big 2 and stick to his own stuff. East of West and Manhattan Projects are both fantastic.
Plenty of stuff I could see him doing: Black Panther, X-Men, Iron Man, maybe even Spider-Man. But I'm perfectly fine seeing him finish his Marvel saga stick with creator owned.
That being said, him and someone like Oliver Coipel, Dustin Weaver or Jim Cheung on Superman is basically my dream title. Love to see him on Green Lantern, Justice League or Legion of Super-Heroes too (I think he once said Legion is his dream job).
I'd just turn him loose on Marvel's cosmic landscape and let him run wild.
The future of mankind is not 10 billion people fighting over a single planet, but rather 100 billion people spread among the stars.
I'd like to see him work on a obscure d-list team. Hickman is good at taking simple things and jumping out the window with it. I'd like to see him work with some younger characters again.
Black Panther
1) Maybe he can finish East of West. Perhaps they can get it to double ship by adding a new artist.
2) Maybe he can write the main X-Men book.
3) He goes to DC and reboots the LoSH.
I really would like to see him do 2 & 3 together.
I would really like to see Hickman write the cosmic side of things, maybe take of Guardians of the Galaxy or write about the Imperial Guard.
I was surprised when Hickman was given SHIELD as Secret Warriors, and how he plotted so much into the espionage of that institution up to the point of giving it a whole secret history. Really, Hickman could take any book and apply a backstory to it that is secret. If I thought Hickman could write mysticism, I would suggest he reinvent the Doctor Strange multidimensional world. It would be quite a challenge to fill in the whole concept of what makes the multidimensional verse
