Technically he was created way back in the 70s/80s when they were trying to square the origins of Thanos and the Titans; but basically yes he’s only really existed for the current Eternals storyline

And he will be fridged back up again especially as gillen has strongly hinted that athena, icarus and the other eternals will try to fight against their nature, so yep uranos surviving this event will be a miracle.

Well, we do have a way better team on this crossover, both in art as writing.

But I do not see the value of the uncle of... instead of using the real Thanos. He is dangerous enough and not as expendable as this dude.

I think that's the point. Uranos will wreck Arakko's sh*t at first due to a mixture of raw strength and element of surprise, I have no doubt about that but eventually the tides will turn (perhaps a certain Regent says screw collateral damage and cuts loose) and he'll be a goner by the end of this event. So Giillen has a credible threat that doesn't have to linger around once his usefulness for the story is over.

1.-He looked too much like Cul Borson, and had a similar background.
2.-As other people has said, they have retconned Uranus into being MU's Darkseid.

I mean that was a what if issue. I don't know if it's counts as a canon as per the issue itself. In my headcanon this feel like Uranos might have transformed himself to that form by using celestial technology just like Uxas did with omega effect lmao
