So Hellfire Gala is July 13.
A.X.E. Judgment Day #1 is July 20.
And this issue, X-men Red #5, is August 3.
That’s gonna be an eventful four weeks of X-books!
“Not as good as I once was… but I’m as good, once, as I ever was.”
So what? Amenth lost in the end, but Isca still joined them at the beginning of the war because "victory was impossible for Arakko...".
He doesn't need to be a good strategist to accept Isca. So the invincible lady wants to switch sides? Okay, we let her join us and won't kill her so long as she fights on our side... You don't need to be a master strategist in order to do that...
Etenrals power is insane. Consider that they are often compared to Kryptonians in term of power, with more elasticity in whatever can do with their powers and with much less limitation.
Consider this. Hyperion, at least in some incarnations, is his universe equivalent of an Eternal.
They ARE powerful. In the end is what make the difference between them and inhumans and mutants. They have much less variety in term of power, and they are for most part sterile or not very fertile(Deviants on the other hands are SUPER fertile having half blood kids with EVERYONE, Eternnals(Kro and Thena kids), inhumans(maelstrom...a character that should be used more imho) and many others...
Constantly repeating plots is just bad writing. Is a has switched sides, yes. Always having her do is boring, and not good writing
What can Isra’s powers do when it is impossible to switch is the story that has not been told, and I’m pretty sure Judgement Day will show that.
In an extreme case the Celestials decide Earth and Mars get blown
Up. If the Celestials decide that, there is no switching sides. Not all polenta permit it, and I don’t think Druig or Uranus are the ones too tolerate that king of switch sides, because side switching like that is about survival. Someone will do anything to survive has to betray against at some point.
Speaking of Druig, in light of the implication that the Celestials specifically programmed his treacherous core personality to be ultimately self-sabotaging (eg his original betrayal of Uranos, unwittingly sabotaging the Mongols etc) his control of matters is going to very quickly collapse, especially if Moira and OS are whispering in his ear.
The problem is that the other Eternals are past the point of caring. They’ve been trapped in pre-programmed routines and habits of r a million years, it’s been 200k years since the last time there was a full reset of their memories; and now they now it was all pointless.
Their burned out to the point that most will accept anything if it means a change (hence following Thanos) and still have enough power between them to drag everyone else screaming into hell to get that change
Basically pure deviants have issues with excess deviation/mutation. The Celestials intended the future for the Deviants. Eternals are programmed to kill deviants with excess deviation to shake deviant evolution. The more genetically stable deviants interbred with humans, creasing the basis for the Xgene. Ájalo, high priestess of the Celestials, got this information from the Ghost of a dead celestial.
So the Eternals are facing a crisis of existence, which Druig wants to exploit in war against mutants.
