Random career criminal named Silas King, who discovered he had the power to absorb solar radiation and release it as blasts of light and heat and upgraded to super-criminal - he was mostly active in the seventies and eighties, and then shuffled offstage when he was imprisoned at Project Pegasus, until he ran afoul of one of his fellow prisoners, a Fomorian god/entity named Bres who killed him because Reasons. I forget. It wasn't a particularly relevant story.

Solarr's only real claim to fame is he happened to show up as a bad guy in one of the 90s animated show's episodes, but other than that he's been out of sight/out of mind for decades. We do know the 616 version of him has been resurrected and is living on Krakoa though, given that in the Unlimited story starring the Juggernaut, where he fought a Super Adaptoid on Krakoa as it went around absorbing and accessing the powers of various mutants, one of the names he catalogued through was Solarr's, before calling up some heat/light blasts.

But yeah, he's a pretty obscure character choice, even by my standards, lol.

haha this was actually really fun and i loved the art. I really don't have much to say other thank i'm just having a blast reading this and it's actually put together amazingly, a lot of thought went into the entire process. I was a little surprised by the carol thing and found my mind shifting through 92 for a minute like i get she didn't like rogue, but then i remember the episode where rogue touched her and the glimmer and tear. and then i thought that was probably her thinking "I'm finally going to get dat a$$" and then it was like "naw, they not connected like that but fun." lol. This book makes me giddy.

Very fun issue, a bit rushed but it felt good, I like this version better than Hickman's really lol.

This was such a fun issue. This has been a fun series, overall. I've been enjoying it immensely. But I was genuinely skeptical that this issue could fit a coherent X Of Swords story into a single issue. I'm glad I was proven wrong. This was so well done. And it's always fun seeing Rogue clash with Carol again. lol

But I hope in the next issue, we see something happen with Jubilee. I'm really curious to see how her story unfolds in this. Given how badly things turned out with Moira, I hope her fate is better.

And is it wrong to wish this series had more issues already?
