Default X-men unlimited 42. The language is alive ?

Guy walks throw portal touches beak and dies. Beaks now spitting fire. Literally.

    Cypher is making Krakoa poetry.
Bei "this fills me with desire"
Warlock "self friend scary wife loves words "

Dr. Reyes calls they have a problem
A human walked through the gate and died.
X-factor "there's somting wrong with island this is a human"
Doug "he has weird vocal cords, so not human warlock what he sound like"
Warlock makes sounds, everyone's ears bleed.

Doug at beach. "Let's follow tracks"

At angle and beaks home; angle is worryed.
Beak came home saying the xaver school motto repeated and had fire coming out of mouth.

Doug figures it out, the language is a mutant. Some how. I don't know or understand.

Cut to banshee. "Boy I do like not being violent music and dying.
Language possessed beak "mutant mutant mutant" (this translation to I'm going to murder banshee)

Doug flying with warlock "as long as it dosent get banshee will be fine"

    It gets banshee.

Doug "ok well be fine as long as he dosent speak"

Banshee words zombie starts to speak

A language that is alive and kills people while turning them into zombies as it spreads ... That is the most plausible explanation for how this book exists.

The X-office truly hates Banshee and Beak.

Oh noes Vocal Cord Parasites have infiltrated Krakoa.

They better watch out for grey skinned super soldiers in skimpy outfits who can teleport.

It's like the horror movie Pontypool, expect that language virus just killed people, instead of turning out bad comics.

Although admittedly this might make for an interesting story for Cypher.

I wonder how many of the negative commenters in X-Men Unlimited threads actually read the comics.

I wondered the same for weeks. As this story is not bad or out of character so far and the Cypher/Bei scene and the healing garden scenes were quite nice.

It feels like very few. Almost all of these Unlimited comics have been good with the exception of anything X-Men Green (Maggott arc was hit or miss as well), but they always get a ton of hate.

Wow , someone else who watched it ! Too bad they never made a sequel , as suggested by the ending , where it confirmed that the protagonists both survived and hooked up with each other tsk tsk tsk

BTW Funny story , several years ago (around a decade ago actually), when pirated DVD/CD tapes of global foreign movies (with English subtitles) was still a popular industry in my country before global internet streaming and YouTube killed it , I bought a pirated copy of the movie for the equivalent of US $1 (Ph P50 here) and my sister secretly lent it to her childhood friend , who never managed to return it to me because she immigrated immediately afterwards to a foreign country , and apparently took the tape with her . The irony is that the country was Canada , the source and setting of the film . To this day , I wonder if she appropriated the tape (hopefully the Canadian customs never caught her) because she thought it would help her learn to live in the Great White North . As for me , I spent the next few years trying to look for another copy of the tape , but apparently in this country , the more obscure foreign movies only have 1 copy sold by pirates in my whole country tsk tsk tsk

Are you sure it was Cypher and not Cecelia Reyes?

BTW, who's in X-Factor now with half the members gone to other books?

Maybe it's just Prodigy, Northstar, and Eyeboy as the core group now. That's a pretty solid investigative team on their own, and it's not like they couldn't request help if needed.

Pretty sure that’s Dr. Reyes , not Cipher.

    MISSING:
    Synch's Aura

It was a neat little horror movie, and very unique. I liked how self-contained the whole thing is, with almost the whole movie taking place within the radio station, but still very engaging. It's definitely a very interesting idea, and I am willing to give this Unlimited story a chance, because it seems very similar. How will Doug deal with a language-based virus?

    It's just them
