I believe Xavier had mental blocks up so he could remember Forgetmenot specifically. But either way some people are aware of him because of special psidevices that Forge made/making more of. For instance Nightcrawler is able to remember him, as well as Pixie I believe. They have those psidevices. And I could see Nightcrawler in particular requesting resurrection as Nightcrawler is very loyal to his teammates. Even those he doesnt know well he is able to connect with and be at ease around them.
