Congrats to Zelena for the win. And thank you, as well as WPP and Chad for the votes.

Congratulations to Zelena for a truly independent cover loaded with future retro example of lighter than air transportation. Plus the figure is actually properly dressed for being outside a high altitude vessel. Almost unheard of in funny books!

So we come to the peak of the week where the captain regales all of us with what he has learned. Amazingly, this is a true learning experience as the variety of Steampunk designs has finally given him an appreciation for the genre. Previously, he had been unenamored with that style and just passed them by. But in truth, the pictured devices are made up of MacGyveresque brilliance using dated tech to achieve advanced results. He has started to see the appeal. Well done contest, well done.

Appreciation and deep thanks to Stony for their gracious vote.

I was gonna go for this, then thought it wasn't a cover, then found out it was a variant cover after all.

I like that cover. If I had known about it I might have used it myself.

Isn't it? Da Vinci was way ahead of his time. I actually want to buy scale models of his inventions for room decoration.

I would love to have some of those models. But good ones are pricey.

And to be honest I had no idea Steampunk was so huge in the comics world. There are some covers here that I loved and some series I have never heard of that I want to look into.

I searched the Marvel 1601 series for steampunk covers, no luck. That setting was ideal for steampunk IMO. Also hoped for Eberron comics, the D&D setting with a decidedly steampunk flavor.
