Otherwise, no one comes out as competent in this one - Spider-man for failing in the end, Wolverine also for relying solely on Spider-man, Greycrow for just being target practice, and Krakoa for relying solely on Wolverine/Spider-man to handle a national matter.

Bishop and the general mutants probably don't know the extent of how far Moira has fallen, but it is mindboggling that they would send only Wolverine and Spider-man. In the same issue, they clearly show Gateway is able to teleport mutants whereever. They could have easily sent in Lorna as backup, since they know that Moira is using a metallic device to control Jean Grey.

Overall, just a poorly written issue that didn't need to exist aside from allowing Peter and Mary to have a private argument in the end.
    Wouldn't be the first time.

Not all. In this era, we saw Cameron Hodge, (a version of him), Mikhail Rasputin, Omega Red, Shadow King, Madelyne Pryor, Children of the Vault, Brood, Saturnyne, Stryfe . They still havent brought back or used the likes of Dark Beast, Sublime, Bastion,

Peter getting mistreated by the Avengers, X-Men and the F4 sounds normal.

Omega Red is currently on X-force. Pryor is being shunted over the the X-books. They’ve already blown through Shadow King. Didn’t Liefeld have Stryfe get killed in that terrible comic from a few weeks back? Children of the Vault are supposedly supposed to come back at some point. Regular Beast might as well be Dark Beast. No one wants to bring back Sublime until someone at marvel decides if human mutant relations are poor because racism or because sentient space hate bacteria. Brood are currently under the X-men’s control. Mikhail is stuck in the long term swamp that is X-force. When did Hodge come back?

The Children are back next week and I'm stoked about it.
