Default What was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon ofthe 80s and 90s

Yeah, Saturday morning cartoons are pretty much dead now. But back in the heyday, there were a ton of them. Of course, I think the early 90s is when it got really good with Barman: the animated series and Exosquad. But then the late 90s and early 2000, you could really see the death knell coming right on in. And now we have really good animated shows like Arcane, Castlevania, Invincible, and so on. Of course, I think Exosquad predicted this even though NBC/Universal has no animated shows of any importance except for a deal with Seth MacFarlane and owned two studios, one being Universal Animated Studios and DreamWorks Animation. But what was your favorite Saturday morning cartoon before the fall?

Sticking to just animated fare that aired on Saturday mornings in my area, and not stuff that was syndicated and aired after school, my top 3 would be...

    1. Thundarr the Barbarian
    2. Batman: The Animated Series
    3. X-Men

If we included afterschool syndicated fare, DuckTales, Pinky and the Brain and Animaniacs would make the list as well.

I started the list with Exosquad, which was syndicated as well. Now it's on NBC/Universal streaming service Peacock for free.

PS, some people think Exosquad was better then X-Men.

My personal favorites were the 90s Marvel and DC animated series --- Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man Unlimited, even Avengers (later subtitled "United They Stand" after the comic adaptation) for Marvel and Batman, Superman, and Batman Beyond for DC.
