I think there was a recent Bat book where Batman got angry at Black Adam for some reason and went to Kahndaq where they fought (Black Adam powered down) Hawkman was briefly in it to tell Batman about Black Adam's weakness.

Maybe it ties into that story somehow?

    EDIT: Batman: Urban Legends #17

I feel like I’m missing something when they talk about the fried chicken restaurant that wants to start in Khandaq. Democratic organization being a threat to a ruler like Adam sure but a Chicken place?

Thank god Malik can speak like a normal human being. I'm not sure if the idea is that he was overcompensating in the first issue and acted like an ass due to that or Priest saw reactions to first issue and did 180 turn. Either way I'm happy that he talks normal now.

My understanding is that chicken place is a front for other operations.

Yeah, I'm glad he finally stopped being a walking stereotype of how white people thinks that black young people speak. In issue 1 Malik was more offensive than the Miles Morales as Thor issue.

Exactly. Malik's characterization was awful and horrible in the first issue.

Adam's characterization was great in this issue like in the previous one.

I loved that Adam didn't bother convincing Malik, but brute forced him to say the magic word.

    Perfectly in character for him.
