I'll always remember that time Cyclops was sealing off the San Andreas Fault to prevent more earthquakes and the reader has to deduce that he definitely lost his mind.



He was a real villain, not only wanted to save San Francisco, he wanted ALSO to cure congenital diseases of Ukrainian children, save an endangered species of tiger, repair the polar ice caps and bring water to Africa.

Evil.

Honestly? It reeks of blind idealism being handled unlimited power to run with the "this sounds like a good idea" ideas that sane people would have discarded years ago.

Like, what will be the result of fusing the San Andreas fault shut? As-is... it shifts slowly and there are many minor earthquakes a year. Seal it and it'll build up and let off what could be the most devastation earthquake California has ever seen.

"Rivers to build in Eastern Africa"... Eastern Africa already HAS rivers. This one makes him seem like he has only a vague idea of what he wants to do and no idea of even WHAT would be helpful.

"Extinct species of tiger"... Why bother? He's gonna recreate the Bali Tiger, which is hotly debated as to whether it is even a unique subspecies, and some consider it the same as a Sumatran Tiger(which aren't extinct). Soo... what's the point? Just making more tigers? Sure, the people of Bali have reasons why they would like to have Tigers. But what's Cyke gonna do? build a zoo and put Sumatran Tigers in it? That's what a sane person would do.... But the insinuation here is that he's just gonna dump a bunch of Tigers on Bali, an island that hasn't had wild tigers for 60+ years.

"children in the Ukraine to purge of birth defects" umm.. why specifically Ukraine? What's he going for here? He's talking about rewriting DNA, but... to what end? What is he targeting as a "birth defect"? The obvious answer is people who got radiation poisoning from Chernobyl... but... that's just a guess. Also.. that disaster was decades ago.

"rebuilding the Arctic ice shield"... um... he's talking about making the polar ice cap bigger... how much does he think it needs to be bigger?

The MU humans are the villains now.

The Island of Krakoa could be snapped by the Beyonder or something and they'd all high five even after they had the gall the demand mutants share the fruits of their labor.

Well considering who are the descendants...yeah everyone is funked up in MU.
They are like turbo boosted version of regular humans in worst way.
Albeit I should notice that wast majority of these bastard humans are Americans or at least English speaking ones. Curious. Is English a language more prone to be bastards? One would assume German or Russian(well some dialect and declination of it..exist multiple slavic languages, some more aggressive than others as far a a language can be aggressive that is it) but no seem English really push toward being an angry *******.

Yeah, English-speaking bastards are the ones used the most. But Extraordinary X-Men showed us little Sapna and her family being attacked by a mob and military soldiers in India. That run also gave us the horrible mass grave scene set in Germany.

And the Russians are still enslaving mutant children as we saw/read in Duggan's Marauders.

I understand why it's skewed towards English-speaking America as that is the main target demographic (I don't think Disney/Marvel cares that people in the Caribbean buy and read their books, jus' sayin') but it would be nice to actually broaden that perspective seeing as the World itself has gotten much "smaller".
