This will be an ongoing per this.
So Joker's new ongoing about his life outside of Gotham?
They really seem to be giving Rosenberg plenty of Joker books.
There's no such thing as too many Bat-books.
Keep 'em coming.
Before San Diego I was just going to get Ram V's DETECTIVE COMICS.
Now I just added three more...
GCPD: THE BLUE WALL
GOTHAM CITY: YEAR ONE
PUNCHLINE: THE GOTHAM GAME
And now this new Joker book, so that's four.
And I guess RIDDLER: YEAR ONE too. So that's five.
And I'm probably missing something...
I got room for more either way...
(Oh, and a few of those ONE BAD DAY one-shots: at least the Riddler and the Penguin one.)
They're going to drag Jason into this, aren't they
The Man who stopped laughing ....so Batman?
DC: The Company that kept milking.
I really want DC to take a break from using the Joker for a bit. He is my favorite Batman villain but his impact and greatness are diminished by overuse In my opinion.
Also, Matthew Rosenberg has to be one of the most uninspiring Comic Book creators to ever be in the industry. He is like if plain bread and a glass of water started a career as a comic book writer.

Honestly..I disagree here. In main continuity, the only place Joker has appeared in has been his solo series which has been more of a Gordon book than his own. The character clearly has a dedicated fanbase and his book clearly sells well, so I definitely see the intent behind them continuing. Also, I haven't enjoyed every comic Rosenberg has done but he's killing it on task force Z right now and I'm glad to see him get more opprotunities.
It feels like the Joker has had a lot of stories where he is a prominent character over the last few years. Not all in continuity but still to the point where I am kind of sick of him and I feel like it diminishes his impact as a character when he is everywhere. His book sells well but I still think it ironically is bad for the character. I don't think the Joker needs a book, I think the best can be taken out of him when he is used sparingly and cleverly.
I can't think of a single Rosenberg book that I have read and enjoyed. Just a load of insipid comics. At least this book gives him work instead of DC putting him on one of their important books.
