Dark Knights of Steel disappeared?

It was monthly for the first 6 issues, skipped a month, got out #7 in June, and since then... silence. Not counting the "Tales of..." filler special. With the October solicits released, we will be going on at least 4 months without an issue. Did Taylor address this at all at SDCC?

Seems pretty clear that there are delays on the art side and the one-shot is an attempt to bridge that gap.
