Unless its the MCU, most tv shows and movies are self contained even if they exist in the same universe.

Separate sub forums for tv shows and movies means that you get to have different discussions related to a show or movie without clogging up one sub forum.

Also, note that while I may favor some ideas, stuff like creating separate sub forums is not within my powers as a moderator.
