All X-Men are automatically queer apart from Logan, who thinks "queer" means doing anything other than missionary with the lights out.
So...straight people (and we agree that Jean is unequivocally straight) can't be openly supportive of gays?
The connected rooms just indicated their polyamory (which was never really in doubt, if not explored)...and when last I checked polys can be exclusively straight.
But you know what...you believe what you may.

As any well-adjusted grownup will tell ya, leaving things open to interpretation means... just that. And, that's it's almost always intentional. I would eXpect even amateur provocateurs are aware of this. That some are seemingly so easily threatened, speaks volumes, and says more about them than otherwise. After all, it's quite simple, just...
I mean, relaX... it's just seX.
Leaving things up to interpretation is all well and good until you realise there is an absolute lack of reading comprehension skills. And if one cannot read/understand the difference between wry banter and sexual flirting then...
As I expressed earlier, I would say the majority of readers, myself included (gay and straight) here and elsewhere are far less threatened by "all the gayness" than the poor writing and subsequent disregard of said gayness.
It is what it is.
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
So you say, that... doesn't make it true, however.
Want to second this thought. I have no objection to queer characters. I do have objections to bad and lazy writing, as well as writers who either don't bother to learn a character's multi-decade history or, even worse, simply don't care about anything but the story they are presently telling. It is a disservice to their predecessors, the fans, and the characters as literary devices meant to move forward into other stories.
I'm not totally useless. I can always be used as a bad example...
