Rebuild the Legion

Lets play a game. Let's relaunch the Legion, but you can only choose one thing about one character from previous continuity for the new mix. It can be anything as long as its just one character, and not something like "just use all the current versions".

My pick is they use the Valor version of Mon El. Was a hero briefly in the 21st century and a member of LEGION. Also seeded a lot of the world's that latter went on to firm the core of the UP, and is seen as almost a religious figure on those worlds.

That is easy- one member was Superman before he became Superman. I'd want it to be Kal-El but in a pinch I'd accept Jon or Kon (in Kon's case it makes being Superman in the future canon)

While I'm not a big fan of 'Sneckie,' a variation in which some of the history of Reboot Orando applied to 'classic' Jeckie could be interesting. Human medievalists settled Orando unaware there were intelligent inhabitants already, because they lived underground and escaped notice, due to their potent powers of illusion. These serpentine Orandans and the Human settlers clashed for generations, and a truce only was formed when a synthesis species was engineered (or occurred naturally when members of the opposing species fell in love? The exact details are buried in layers of rumor and hearsay.) Jeckie, and the other members of the ruling Voxv family have illusion powers, and use them to conceal the other visible traits from their altered heritage, colorful scales, serpentine eyes, etc.

A hint of snake-Jectra, but still humanoid (and presenting as completely human, thanks to her powers), and from a planet that is, from space, apparently inhabited only by humanoid medievalists, as the natives choose to remain underground and out of sight, both literally and figuratively, while the rulers of Orando are rulers of *both* species, who generally stick to their own areas and avoid each other (and many of whom are straight up unaware that they share the planet with another sapient species!).

Hmmm. Somebody's going to pick 5YL Tenzil (the only acceptable variant), so I'll let that one go.

Hell, I'll just say it - Quislet. Cool little powerset, genuinely alien, and fun. There should be more fun in the Legion.

I'll go with Ultra Boy (or Jo Nah) from the 5 YL run. Already my favorite legionnarie of all, aside from being very powerful and competent, he was shown to be a real cool player, a planner with lots of street smarts, and who never let his adversaries know how smart he really was. I thought it was a pretty cool take.

Dream Girl from the Levitz era.

However, Nura alludes to having had an affair with Morpheus/Dream/Sandman at some point and he granted her several powers she did not have before. She can cause people to fall asleep and inflict nightmares on them.
