    Default Orwelling Retcon: Original Comic and Reprint Comparisons

    I'm looking for examples where reprinted comic books are not quite the same as the originals. They may be censored or recolored or had dialogue changed for various reasons or updated with modern references.

    Here is an example from a Transformers forum of the kind of thing I'm interested in.

    Marvel censored and recolored Alan Moore's Miracleman .

    An recolored edition of the Incal censored the nudity of the original. The more recent editions restored the original version of the comic.

    Marvel has censored the N word in Miracleman and X-Men. Instead of the written word as originally published, it's shown as N followed by a blacked out box.
