Default HOUSE OF XCII X OF SWORDS Spoilers obviously Captain Rogue vs Ms Marvel

So the issue begins as the preview with Arkon being the one who is "kidnaping" Arakko.

    the "champions of Arkon are"

    Juggy
    Eric the Red
    War
    Pestilence
    Famine
    Ms Marvel (Carol obvs)
    Sauron
    Broodeadpool
    Deathstrike
    Arcade
    Arkon himself

So with this being a one issue crossover we dont have any weird contest just brawl

Easy peasey Krakoa wins. Genesis behead Arkon . Krakoa and Arakko are besties for some dumb reason Beast go to them and die.

And they are back different you know rockslide style.

    Fun facts of the issue.

RIP Solarr. I barely knew you.

    Seriously, who's Solarr?

Random career criminal named Silas King, who discovered he had the power to absorb solar radiation and release it as blasts of light and heat and upgraded to super-criminal - he was mostly active in the seventies and eighties, and then shuffled offstage when he was imprisoned at Project Pegasus, until he ran afoul of one of his fellow prisoners, a Fomorian god/entity named Bres who killed him because Reasons. I forget. It wasn't a particularly relevant story.

Solarr's only real claim to fame is he happened to show up as a bad guy in one of the 90s animated show's episodes, but other than that he's been out of sight/out of mind for decades. We do know the 616 version of him has been resurrected and is living on Krakoa though, given that in the Unlimited story starring the Juggernaut, where he fought a Super Adaptoid on Krakoa as it went around absorbing and accessing the powers of various mutants, one of the names he catalogued through was Solarr's, before calling up some heat/light blasts.

But yeah, he's a pretty obscure character choice, even by my standards, lol.

Geeze, such horribly, goofy art... Should I even bother to read House of XCII/X of Swords?

This book feels like a parody of the 90s in tone because they were never this simple. Even the animated series didn't feel this goofy. They should've hired an actual 90s writer like Fabian Nicieza to do this story.
