Looks like the Black Cat kiss is being addressed as just a kiss and nothing more, but hey Norman this should go over well

So that's it? No soul searching for Peter before seeing Norman about the offer all so casually? I get trying to set the status quo up quickly, but jeez...
Tooms and daughter's talk was pretty good actually, again, either someone ghost writes this or Zeb didn't try with 900
It doesn't confirm or deny anything.

It's nice to see Wells use Starling and continue from the story Ahmed wrote about her finding out what her grandpa is really like. And how dumb she is that it only took her now to really realize any of this stuff.
And now Toomes has even more reason to hate Spider-Man.
The Peter/Norman stuff feels so off. No way can I believe Peter would act so chummy with Norman or they'd be back to basics like none of the decades of Norman torturing him and trying to ruin his life never happened. How does Norman even have OsCorp back!?
If it was meant to be just a one off, nothing more kiss, it would not be mentioned in the recap box as something readers need to keep track of.
Wells can apparently dive so deep that he is writing a story that's a sequel to a short back up story in a Spencer anniversary issue but when it comes to his own mysteries and properly motivating the leading characters, from Peter and Norman as you mention on down, he falls completely flat face first into the cement pavement.

The recap page is setting up the Peter/MJ/Felicia love triangle like we're back in the 1980s.
1970s, with MJ playing Gwen - she even has the two mystery children ala Sins Past - and Felicia playing MJ - she even got to give the pep talk in ASM 4 that was usually MJ's. Wells took completely the wrong message from Mary Jane and Black Cat, in which they discuss which one of them is the good girl and which one is the bad girl.
If that's what you believe ;p

It's my opinion. It's based on the conversations in Mary Jane and Black Cat and Wells seems to be setting that up, with MJ the being the good girl who got away, the one who is now settled down in traditional domestic bliss, and Felicia being the "bad girl" who will be there to pick up the pieces while he still pines for the good girl. It's also clear Wells finds MJ boring, the biggest criticism the BND writers had about MJ was that she just sat by the window and then Wells actively went ahead and depicted her as sadly staring out the window in Beyond and ASM 1, he also wrote her as not knowing it was Ben on the phone while May knew it was Peter instantly, and Wells was actively misogynistic in his treatment of MJ in Venom Lethal Origins. (Meanwhile, Thompson wrote Peter waking up when Felicia whispered in his ear, while he stayed comatose when MJ was in the room). It's even somewhere implied in the Dark Web artwork with MJ not being a part of the action, just a figure tacked on at the bottom, and yes that's just a piece of promo art and what it depicts will not be in the actual comics, but it's supposed to symbolize the event and yes, art & text both have meaning, the images for Dark Web and words in the recap are chosen for a reason.
But thanks for the image. You do know this isn't 4chan, right?

I know but also where cel seems to be getting their info as well.
But this is an issue after 900 which they want to now go past as it says Peter has burned bridges which is false from what happened. Dont see that with Black Cat stuff and looking to much into this means nothing as so far as we don't know what will happen as it's all speculative
Oh no, using a message board to speculate with other fans when a preview comes out. The horror, the horror!
It's obvious Wells is going to continue to ride the "everyone hates Peter" train, after all, no one looked happy to be at his party even though going to someone's party implies that the bridges haven't been burnt.
Also looks like the Norman stuff like regaining Oscorp and changing their focus while ramping up production in only six months won't be explained, either. Hand wave! That's the only way to get through this run, apparently, just check your brain at the door.

I understand your point of view. Peter would certainly never accept to work for Norman, considering their history. Then again, Marvel has put Peter through so many things that I guess it comes a time where he's so tired that he just let himself go and just worry when the time comes. Besides, Peter knows Norman is currently "purified"; and although it's not enough to trust him, at least he knows Norman is not after something bad... For now.
Pretty sure Peter accepts the job offer just to keep a close eye on Norman, just in case. You know, in case suddenly happens that makes Norman's sins to return to him. That's a reasonable way to think for him, staying alert for the old Norman's unevitable return.
Is it? In the modern Marvel Universe we see characters inverted all the time. Unrepentant murderers like Carnage and Sabertooth were briefly heroes. Spidey served on a FF team alongside Dr. Doom. Magneto alongside several other villains such as Sinister and Apocalypse are considered high ranking members of the X-Men society. A killer that traumatized his wife and attempted to eat his brains on multiple occasions (Venom) is now treated as a heroic partner, while vice versa his clone and a man he considered his brother wants him dead. This just seems like par for the course, might as well take advantage of it.
