I'm used to him being eviscerated into basically a brain in a robot body but I've grown to appreciate him being a fly.

    No Shredder!?

    No Casey!?

And Superfly and Baxter are different characters.

    That's a killer good cast.

Seth Rogen as Bebop kind of throws me for a loop because aside from the whole "Rogen playing a warthog" thing again Bebop has been portrayed as black for the past few years.

He was Russian in the 2012 show IRCC. Bebop ethically/race is never a lock.

Nah pretty sure Rocksteady was the one who was Russian in TMNT 2012.

JB Smoove was Bebop in the 2012 cartoon. That and the last live-action movie and I think in the IDW comics depicted him as being black.

Bebop was African American and has been since the original cartoon. Rocksteady was the Russian character in that show.

Eh, while the animated character was clearly black he was voiced originally by Barry Gordon and then by Greg Berg so I don't see it as being wrong to cast Rogan.

Well, wouldn't be the first time a black character was voiced by a white VA...

Dunno; it wouldn't fly today if it was a live action movie and animation is coming to be seen as being the same.

I kind of think if there's backlash, they have ALOT of diversity to point to here.

That being said, it's the director/producer, probably one of the easier roles to recast quickly if backlash occurs.

The only "backlash" I've seen is people complaining about April being voiced by a black woman. Of course they aren't really upset and it's just some folks trying to use this as a "gotcha" moment against the people who want minority voice actors to portray minorities.
