I guess Kara was screwed either way, only in this specific instance she was screwed because her parents are elitists in this continuity.
Convenient she already has her costume though!

It’s always kind of vague where New Genesis and Apokolips are located. Kirby had intended them to be created from the remains of Asgard after Ragnarok. So not in actual space but in its own god realm. Some creators make it seem like they are just two planets in some unknown universe. More aliens than gods. So, either way it seems Kryptonians keep their powers wherever it’s located.

So...
They introduce Supergirl just to kill her off.
Clark is saved and somehow ALL OF his family has made it through yet majority of the Batfam are dead, Diana is dead (though Hippolyta is alive?).
Did New Gods need more ammo with Kara being a zombie?
