If anyone looks at my history on these boards knows that I really enjoy Bendis, but this felt like everything being put away and the grand experiment of "BENDING IS COMING" being officially over.
Too bad that the character's success was tethered to her success outside of comics it's a shame because the potential was there if anything of consequence was done.
Naomi will be like that stupid Skinner episode on the Simpsons when his supposed real identity is revealed and then will never be mentioned again.

I assume it was planned out that long yeah. The wait between seasons wasn't supposed to be nearly as long as it turned out to be and I figure Bendis and Walker knew where they wanted to take things from the start.
But maybe I'm wrong, and the story was changed recently because of whatever is going on behind the scenes. I figure if the story *was* changed, Bendis and Walker probably just moved things up the timeline. Maybe Naomi wasn't supposed to go back to her homearth until the end of season 3 or something, and they rushed that for fear of not getting a season 3 at all. Or who knows? Maybe this is just Bendis' writing, gods know he's dropped the ball at the end of a story before and had to cram things into the final pages.

Annnnnd!? Chahcter need to start somewhere and people are more than capable of getting interisted and invested in brand new charhcters at least in other genres why is there some block that says 'a character must be decades old or part of a decades old franchise or they don't matter in comic book Superheroes?
