Status Quo is king. I doubt they'd undo, OMD until #1000 though anyway. Pat themselves on the back when they finally do.

Weell...at least they made it clear that Peter will continue with the same dead end status quo he's had for over a decade.
mj and black cat team up cool for them. sucks about peter status quo but it is what it is

So Moria kills MJ and the X Men brings her back to life as a mutant?
at least I have Renew Your Vows and all the amazing stories before Mephisto somehow became an archnemesis of Spidey
It's so ridiculous that they think him being "relatable" means he can never get married. I've never been married, but I still related to Spider-Man when he was. So many people I know are married or in long term relationships. It's a very common and, dare I say, relatable state of being. The character just feels like he's in a dead end the way they're going. It's not that he HAS to be married, but the idea that there's all these rules about what stories can be told with him just makes it all feel so forced and unnatural.
So, being a perpetual loser is more relatable than buckling down and having a family? I thought Spidey was about taking responsibility, silly me. Okay, if you say so Cebulski. Of course, this is the same guy who thinks Classic Gwen Stacy should be regarded as Pete's "one and only true love" the most boring and one-dimensional of all Spidey's girlfriends, um, yeah....
Words like those make me VERY HAPPY I've mostly given up on American Comic Books. I use them as disposable fun but I no longer become emotionally invested in the characters as I once did and still do with Manga.

"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Totally agree.
I’m done, they literally have a teenage Spider-Man in miles yet continue to waste him on bad writers and artists who create one of the most boring characters ever while his movie version is leaps above.
It’s funny because I bet they change their tune if MCU Spider-Man and MJ marry in the future.
Why on Earth would anyone spend money on a character that has to stay a joke and never be happy, what’s good or interesting about that? Parker luck is having a few unlucky things happen to you, this current bunch think it means doom and gloom.
I’ll stick to pre 2000 Spider-Man trades from now on and manga. I’ll close my run with Spider-Man at the end of beyond with them both together again and Peter planning to propose AGAIN.

While I don't really care about the stories McKay tells, man, I'll take his characterization of either or both all day over Wells.
I hope this means the Krakoan medicine thing being something aunt Anna needs not being forgotten right after the Gala, and not something stupid like MJ becoming a mutant and migrating to X-Men side.
I know it's really unlikely that MJ will move out of ASM, and if it happens it'll be temporary but, I don't like the possibility of her leaving for another comic at all, other franchises can have a rather parasitical relationship with Spidey, and it's annoying if they take even more even if temporarily.
That aside, if it's just for the idea of aunt Anna needing Krakoan medicine being a plot point that remains and not just a random thing introduced for Moira to have an excuse to use MJ as a meat puppet, then I can be okay with that, it could give aunt Anna a reason to show up and have moments with MJ.
If they promise the marriage again, at any point, I won't believe it until it actually happens, and even if it happens, I'll wait to see if they make it interesting and not something for bad drama.
Keep in mind that just 4 years ago, in X-Men Gold#30 vol 2, they talked like Kitty would marry Colossus, and then the issue itself had Kitty deciding to not do it at the last moment, and just three months later at DC, with Batman#50 vol 3, the same bullshit happened between Batman and Catwoman.
So yeah, Marvel and DC are the kind of companies to pull the rug under you then laugh, if they promise the marriage is happening again, don't believe them until it actually happens, because there's a very high chance it's bait, even if it's a really stupid bait for them to do, it's good to keep in mind they may be that stupid.
ASM is gonna reach #901 soon, if it became weekly, it would take 9099 weeks or so for it to reach ASM#10000, that's about 63693 days, which's about 174 years.
To put it in perspective, One Piece has over 1000 anime episodes, it started in 1999 and it's only in 2021 it reached 1000 lol.
So yeah, y'all better learn how to become immortal, 'cause just living long enough to see 2099 actually happen is already gonna be a bit difficult for anyone born in the 90's or earlier, much less ASM#10000, and hell, that's assuming ASM will become monthly right now (It won't), or that it will at some point (Not impossible, but unlikely it'll stay that way for long), if we assume it's only twice per month as usual, it would take almost 400 years to reach #10000 lol.
Yeah it's a theory that's thrown around about the possibility of MJ randomly being retconned to be a mutant lol.
Specially considering the kind of character Spidey is, while nowadays marriage is not seen as highly as it used to be, it's still a big deal for him, so pushing it away so awkwardly for the sake of bad angst porn is so eh.
Lol, I wasn't aware of that bit about Cebulski, maybe he's one of those who thinks Saint Gwen was an actual thing, or that she'd be any less boring if Saint Gwen was an actual thing lol.
Well, stuff that keeps being used by corporations will sooner or later become franchise zombies.Words like those make me VERY HAPPY I've mostly given up on American Comic Books. I use them as disposable fun but I no longer become emotionally invested in the characters as I once did and still do with Manga.
Even having the original people involved may not save it, Dragon Ball nowadays is static joke compared to vanilla DB and Z, and Toriyama is pretty involved with it, it's not anywhere near as bad as western comic books of course, but how many times is Gohan gonna have this "Oh I stopped training and became weak, now I gotta power up so I can forget to stop training again" idea of a half assed "character development"? It was fine in Boo saga, but it happened in Resurrection of F, and then happening against in Super Hero? Give me a break.
Again, not as bad as western comics, but it does mean that corporations are little more than soulless **** trying to make money, and the people involved don't care about things like the actual quality, and Marvel and DC have enough fans who keep buying regardless of the quality to be as lazy and incompetent as they want to stay afloat like a boat made of toilet paper that somehow hasn't sunk yet.
Honestly only reason why I show up around here is 'cause X-Men are kinda fun right now, once that stops again and if ASM hasn't recovered I might disappear for a few months again lol.
I can't help but wonder why we have Miles if Peter is filling the exact same niche the immature, still finding himself Spider-Man? They even live in the same general area WTH!? Why use both characters to fill the same character niche and geographical niche? What an utter waste........
