A&E used to stand for Arts & Entertainment. I miss them hijacking all the good BBC stuff (like US PBS does now). My faves were Horatio Hornblower and Nero Wolfe.

Never heard of those shows. How come they were your favorites? Should I check them out?
love is the real "success."

They/Them
I will say I enjoy the BBC shows on PBS. That is how I watched As Time Goes By years ago. And that is without a doubt one of my favorite tv shows. As is Keeping up Appearances. I miss the fact that they took off Are You being Served and The Old Doctor Who Episodes.
This Post Contains No Artificial Intelligence. It Contains No Human Intelligence Either.
I miss City Confidential (Paul Winfield had a amazingly soothing voice when talking about murder lol) and Biography before A&E became Dog the Bounty Hunter, Flip this House, Hoarders, Storage Wars, Parking Wars, Airline, in the 00's.
GOD DO I HATE REALITY TV!
A&E and the History Channel were reality TVs greatest casualties and maybe HBOMAX now.
American Greed was another good one.
History Channel used to be the best station around. How far they have fallen. The Food That Built America is great though.
Storage Wars was ok at first. Then it got old that each locker had some high value item that had to be checked out by an expert. The issues there was just a ratty duffle bag but it had a camera from the 1920s in it.

I miss the Travel Channel when they actually went all over the world and showed you places you had never been.
Now it's just Paranormal Caught On Film and Ghost Adventures.
I miss when Boomerang showed classic cartoons (T_T)

Those shows along with Ancient Aliens and Secrets of Skinwalker Rance are utter crap. I'm disgusted by what the Travel and History Channels have become. Thank goodness for the Smithsonian and BBC Earth Channels. I know a producer who worked on several ghost "reality" series and he admitted they often fabricated "evidence" to "spice things up". Although I seriously hope no one falls for their "evidence" because the shows are so outrageously stupid, clearly contrived, and utterly implausible.
