Why have they turned Firestar into the human torch? Her powers are microwave based, not fire.

Microwaves are invisible, but I understand that artists need the highlight when she's using her powers, but I wish they'd go back and draw her energy signature similar to how Mark Bagley used to draw it in New Warriors.

But hey, I'm happy she's in the team

I am thinking (hoping) it has something to do with the new costume. Perhaps Forge developed it to have that flame effect for reasons.

There wouldn't have been such ambiguity if Monet was on the team instead of Angelica...but they get what they voted for.

I would’ve preferred Monet to Firestar myself, but it seems like Duggan really wanted to play with Spider-man’s amazing friends in Firestar and Iceman both. Which makes Havok seem really redundant, since he and Firestar both have similar “melt your face” powers. But, I suppose since we already had both Rogue and Synch, having characters with similar powers doesn’t really bother Gerry. For me, though, this team is just kind of boring. I preferred the previous roster.

I just count 2 on Marauders but i maybe missing a cover ? I just saw the Daken/Psylocke/Aurora.
1 in X-t, 1 in LoX, 1 in NM, 2 in Marauders, 3 in Exiles (one albinos).
Still 8 or 10 on 50+ (counting the villains) is kinda lame for such a diverse pool of mutants to draw from.

My mistake. I took the Marrauders variant as the main one.

The fans didn't want Monet. Well at least the vast majority didn't. And according to the grapevine, Angelica won by such a margin that anyone outside of the X-Men A-listers would have had trouble trying to overcome.

Havok --> Wind Dancer for a fresh ingenue face pov type

I would never actually WISH for ANY character to be wrenched free from EWING, buuuuuut.....

I would have enjoyed the following X-roster shake up:
Cyclops --> Cable
Jean --> Siryn
Firestar --> Monet
Havok --> Wind Dancer for a fresh ingenue face pov type

And Magik, Iceman, Force, and Synch remain as is.

But then Cable would no longer be written by Ewing!
