From the New Golden Age trailer. Sure looks like Johns has rebooted the timeline again.

Why do you think it is the 31st century? Could be any other future era. Could be perfectly the Society of the 853rd century too.

Originally she was going to be the first as part of the 5G reboot, but they’ve waffled on that since. Right now it’s as unclear as the rest of DC continuity.

ETA: I don't mean Diana being the first superhero, I don't like the idea to begin with seeing that writers were probably never going to put Diana over Superman and Batman. I mean just not going through with it.

The WW ongoing has referenced Diana being around during WW2 several times, but they've always been vague about the details because no one seems to know where that leaves Steve Trevor. The whole debuting in 1938 instead of Superman seems to have been forgotten and Crimson Avenger & Wing are now considered the "first" Mystery Men of the Golden Age.

Who? Anyways, this is why you don't need Diana to be umpteenth number of years old. It adds and changes nothing about her. She's perfectly fine being born in modern times.

Then they let Waid do another full on reboot 5 or 6 years latter and it was garbage. The Threeboot was just so off in tone. Most of the characters were written like they were total assholes, and the plots were so forgetable I doubt anyone can tell you one thing that actually happened in that series. To top it all off he had most of the team thinking they commited genocide on the Dominators by destroying their planet, but the team was like "oh well so we killed them all so what". Only a few members knew they really shoved the planet into the phantom zone or something like that, but still the point that the team was ok commiting genocide shows how far Waid had fallen.

Yeah. I don't know if Waid would admit it, but his Threeboot was a misguided effort. I think Marvel's Ultimate Universe may have triggered his idea of making the Legion more edgy. Ugh! But what really sucked in that series was the lack of good villains. I can't think of one memorable villain (or storyline for that matter). Barry Kitson did some nice work. Actually, I loved Kitson's run on L.E.G.I.O.N. when he was both writing and drawing. Maybe he should have flown solo on that threeboot. Regardless, Waid on a Legion mini-series set in the past would be okay -- but not on a new ongoing.

Definitely had a Jade vibe as a future Green Lantern. Have to say Janin's design work is not up to snuff! Stick to what you're good at!

They’re tossing out pretty much everything Bendis did, just got revealed they’re re-establishing Clark’s secret identity again, I’m sure Johns will continue that via replacing the Bendis Legion with his Retroboot Legion. First will come a “War of the Four Legions” mini and that will end with the Retroboot restored.
